Cropping Exercise

THis crop was made to make the boat the centre of the picture.

The crop on this image was made to make the wheel stand out.

The crop was made on this image in order to make the boy on the bridge stand out more.

I selected three photos that I have already taken and then cropped them to create a new image or an image with a different emphasis.

Vertical and horizontal shots

I took shots of the street I live in with vertical and then horizontal angles an example the results are here. It was always tempting to look for tall or long and straight shots for the vertical shots and more panoramic for the horizontal shots. Certainly some objects were more suited to the vertical such as the lamp post and and the long street. Also the same shot taken in the two different planes could give a completely different result capturing entirely different aspects of the same shot.
